    6. Wow I wished I checked the blog before I did the all about me essay. I may have made mistakes that could have been avoided if I did check the blog. I feel as if I may have used words that could give the reader the wrong impression. I used the word abrasive for another way of saying unpleasant. Stupid me !

    7. Yes, the insight on "alot" being nonexistent in the English language was very helpful to me too. I make the same mistake as well.

  2. It is resourceful because it helps people correctly write the appropriate word in a sentence. Some words may sound alike but are defined differently and thus trips people off.

    2. The website helped me differentiate words that sounded alike. Additionally, the resource cleared up my understanding of some words that seem like they mean the same thing. For example, I thought that "irritate" and "aggravate" meant the same thing, but they do not.

  3. The resource was useful for me, because I can use the website as a reference for when I write or edit my work. I do not have to spend too much time being confused about grammar rules when I write, and if I discover a mistake when I am writing, I can use the website as a reference to correct my work. Additionally, I found that the information for absolute modifiers was very informational, as I did not know that I should not use words like "very" when I use absolute modifiers. Furthermore, the information on split infinitives cleared up my confusion on the topic. Lastly, today's class activities involved posting on the blog and turning in our essay.

Also, the word "ain't" was interesting. I do not use it in essays or in my writing, however, I always wondered what that word meant.

  9. The link was very resourceful. It's always confusing when I write compound words because I'm unsure of whether the meaning of the word stays the same. I think the English language itself is just so confusing. We brought it upon ourselves when we made this language the primary language of the country and majority of the world. Do we have to include all stages in our first essay?

  11. This resource is a very useful tool for me. I have a hard time with spelling and making sure everything is grammatically correct. I feel in the age of auto correct and texting that we lose some of this in our writing. So having a guide is a nice way to remind ourselves to type, text and write correctly.

  12. This was a resourceful tool it helps keep their grammar on point. You need to stress spelling correctly because in the long run bad grammar will shred many points off essays especially if you are righting long ones.
